I joined the national Computer Doctor franchise as its director of media relations, writing press releases for the more than 100 franchisees at the time and setting up national conventions. But I also was in charge of all photography and graphic design for the small corporate headquarters. When the company changed names to Expetec, I designed the new company name/logo, and in the case of the photo below, changed photos I took of technicians in the old red company shirts to blue with the new name, before any new shirts had been made.
I shot our store employees in different poses, with the new shirts on, which we used for various marketing materials and advertising in newspapers and national magazines.
I set up the studio photo shoot under the old company name, then used PhotoShop to salvage the photos later under the new company name.
Photo shoot for van ads
Designed 'fast' logo to use in various ads.
Designed the company's logo... we used the one on the left more than the experimental rounded one on the right, but it's the same type face.
The company sponsored NASCAR's No. 46 for a few seasons. I did the photo design layout for the calendar/card front, and designed this little pocket card for the season's races. I was responsible for design and working with the print shop to create the marketing piece. I also was responsible for making arrangement for corporate officers and franchise-owner trips to various races across the country.
I wrote and published the national company newsletter for a couple of years...
I designed three-fold brochures for franchisees across the nation for use in their communities.
Put together hat and T-shirt packages to go along with the NASCAR promotions.
My work made it into many newspapers, magazines and trade publications across the nation, both photos, layouts, designs and the story and caption writing.
I was responsible for designing all press and promotion materials for franchisees across the United States and in Mexico. I often would set up an assembly line of sorts to get the materials ready to ship.
